Application planning guide. This is an original explanation of a possible equipment enquiry, not a completed customer project, installation report or guaranteed configuration.
Name The Task Clearly
Explain whether you need information before drilling or a measurement in an existing accessible well. Include how the result will be used. This prevents instrument enquiries from mixing investigation, level measurement and pumping functions.
Provide Existing Information
For investigation, include geological or survey records where available and identify unknowns. For water-level measurement, provide the well opening and access information, expected measurement depth and any instrument reference you already use. Mark estimates as estimates.
Ask For The Actual Instrument Specification
Request confirmation of the measurement principle, documented range, probe dimensions, resolution or accuracy as applicable, and operating limitations. A product name or model code is not a substitute for these details. Ask what accessories and instructions are supplied.
Keep Interpretation Separate From Equipment Supply
Survey interpretation should consider the site and supporting geological information. Water-level readings should be recorded with their measurement context, including whether the well is pumping. Neither task independently establishes water quality or a sustainable supply rate.

The Task
Identify whether the requirement is a groundwater investigation or a water-level measurement. These tasks require different information and should not be treated as one instrument function.
Site And Operating Conditions
For investigation, describe the survey objective, area and existing geological information. For level measurement, describe access to the well, its opening, measurement requirement and operating conditions.
Equipment Roles
Water detector product information for an investigation enquiry, or a reel-mounted water level meter for the stated measurement task. Method, range, probe dimensions and other instrument specifications need confirmation from the relevant product documentation.
Planning Boundaries
A groundwater survey is not a guarantee of a productive well or water quality. TC model numbers are not used here as verified depth values. Range, precision and cable length are not inferred from images.
